Once upon a Birthday Party

The morning started just as it should: with a visit from the birthday (balloon) fairy. I felt the need to wake Mommy at 2 AM (and then again at 3 AM) to show her all of the balloons in my room. :)

Already dressed in her new Cinderella gown--ready to open a few gifts from Mommy, Daddy, and Teah.

We can never have enough princesses. :)

We made the cake/cupcakes the day before.

Here are the helpers in action.

And our masterpiece: a Castle Cake fit for a Princess.

And Pirate ship cupcakes for...well...Pirates.

The decor was pretty simple. Since the theme was "Princess and Pirates" we went with pink and black.

Thanks to CInderella and Belle, the party was a hit (for the girls anyway).
*Note..we tried getting a Pirate but he was unable to make it. Sorry boys. :(

Glitter tattoos and beaded necklaces.

And Skippy Jon Jones, read by Belle.

Cake time!

Cheesy Mommy and a giggly Tess.

I was so happy to have a friend at the party who is also a photographer. She snapped (and edited) the next couple of shots for me. Thanks so much Rebecca. Priceless.

All in all I'd say the party was a success.

I know my little Princess thought so anyway. Love you sweet pea.
