Silly Daddy

Mommy found this pic of Daddy and Teah on her camera. Guess Daddy felt like there weren't enough pictures of him with Teah so he decided to try and take one himself (in the mirror)?Kind of funny. I'd love to know what Teah is thinking.

Day 9 Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head

Time for a little Science--with potatos! First step: getting all the supplies ready. We need a regular potato, 1 sweet potato, 2 mugs to put them in, toothpics to keep them sturdy, googly eyes, glitter glue, cotton balls, water, and a knife.

Here are our potatos ready in their cups. The regular potato got the top cut off and scooped out a bit and wet cotton balls were placed inside.

After we decorated them, it was time to plant radish seeds within the wet cotton balls of the regular potato (aka Mr. Potato Head. Mrs. Potato Head was obviously the SWEET potato. :D )

Here's a closer look at the top with the seeds. Mrs. Potato Head simply got water poured in the mug around her.

Now they are placed in the sun and the waiting begins. Hopefully they will both sprout their own hair. Check back for an update in a week or so.

Day 8

We decided we needed to make a little craft project. So we decided to make more sunflowers--except these will live for sure! I love craft projects with some materials I can eat (sunflower seeds.)

These will make a nice centerpiece for our dining room table!

A little "Funny" from Tessa

Tess: "Mommy I need a rubberband!"

Mommy: "Why do you need a rubberband?"

Tess: "I need a rubberband!" (Repeats about three more times a little more whiney each time while looking at her foot.) "For my boo boo!"

Mommy: "Oh, you mean a bandaid?"

Tess: "Yeah Mommy! I need a rubber bandaid!"

Teah's 6 Month Update

Teah turned 6 months last week and had her 6 month well check on Monday. She is weighing 17.2 lbs which puts her in the 75% for weight and 26 in or 68% for height. It's hard to believe but she is 1 lb and 2 inches smaller than I was at her age!

She is definitely teething as you can see in the last picture. She is working on getting her bottom right middle tooth and has been chewing and drooling on everything. She is still working on sitting up. She can roll from her belly to back but not quite the other way around yet. The Dr. says it is probably cause she is on the big side. Mommy says she should enjoy it while it is considered cute to have rolls in your legs and dimples in your bottom.
She is now eating cereal and veggies and definitely has certain preferences. She has decided to refuse a bottle (just like I did at this age) which has put a kink in Mommy's plan to wean from nursing. When are Mommy and Daddy finally going to realize who is "really" in charge?

Overall, things are going well. Teah is a very happy little baby and I'm so happy she is my sister. I know how to make her laugh and that makes me feel pretty special. I don't like when she pulls my hair or nose. I don't get mad, I just yell for help. Life is so much fun with her around. I can hardly remember life without her. Love you T!

Day 7

Check out the new trike Mommy and Daddy got for me off of Craig's List. It plays music, honks, and even has turn signals.

This is how the "princess" rides her new wheels.

Day 6

Yep, you guessed it...more sprinklers!
Getting up the courage to go in.

Summer Fun

Since summer has officially begun, we have decided to have "things" to do everyday. Whether it be making a craft, playing a new game, playing outside, going on a field trip to the museum (you get the idea), we are going to do our best to stay busy. So everyday I get to open my mail and find what is on the agenda for the day. Day 1: Cooking. We made a bunch of muffins to freeze for snacks. And what good chef doesn't have a hat? We had to make one first!

Day 2: Indoor picnic with my favorite friends.

They all especially enjoyed the story I read to them. Here I am showing them the pictures.

Day 3: Painting the porch with magic paint (aka: water). Anything with water=fun!

Day 4: A "real" picnic outside of Daddy's office with "real" ducks and everything!

For some reason, they wouldn't stay still when I would run after them yelling.

Monkeying around with Daddy.

Showing off my muscles. Rrrrrrrrrr!

Learning to throw a frisbee. (I actually threw that--didn't realize it, but I did.)

We love picnics!

Day 5: Swimming (but unfortunately Mommy forgot the camera). Stay tuned for more Summer fun. Can't promise we'll have pictures for every day but we'll try!

A Little Summer Getaway

We recently took a trip to Indiana to see Mommy's side of the family. Mimi retired from teaching and we wanted to be there to celebrate with her. Here are some pics of us in the airport. It was Teah's first plane trip and my first one with my very own seat. Mommy and Daddy were pleasantly surprised with how well we did (on the way there---the way back was a little different story). Teah slept most of the way and I watched some videos on the dvd player.

Here we are at Uncle Craig's house with cousin Addy. As you can see, it takes a few shots to get us all looking at the camera. Aren't we cute?

Working on our masterpiece.

I was having so much fun I didn't want to leave. So Addy and I crawled into her bed and pretended to be asleep. I guess the giggling must have given us away. It was a good effort though.
We had a lot of fun with Mimi and Pop Pop. Lots of giggles and snuggles.
