Neighbor Friends

The girls have become really close with some of the older neighbor girls. So fun to see the big ones really watch over and teach them new things.

Bowling Fun

Earlier in the month, the kids won a free night of bowling and pizza at the neighborhood school's fall festival. So the four of us decided to put it to good use last weekend.

Picking out the perfect ball.

Tess giving it a roll. (Although she decided she was too big for the stand and stopped using it later in the game.)

Happy with her shot.

T's turn!

All but one pin. or, as she says, "Aw, man!"

Daddy's turn. Remember to stay behind the line. (Yes Mommy bowled too but she was also the one stuck behind the camera. Shocker. :)

Time to redeem myself!

Wish this one was in video. She was dancing to Thriller. :)

Resting up for the next shot.

Gotta love family nights. :)

Special Visitor

"Clara" from the Nutcracker came to visit both girls' dance class last week.

The girls thought she looked like a Princess. :)

Once upon a Birthday Party

The morning started just as it should: with a visit from the birthday (balloon) fairy. I felt the need to wake Mommy at 2 AM (and then again at 3 AM) to show her all of the balloons in my room. :)

Already dressed in her new Cinderella gown--ready to open a few gifts from Mommy, Daddy, and Teah.

We can never have enough princesses. :)

We made the cake/cupcakes the day before.

Here are the helpers in action.

And our masterpiece: a Castle Cake fit for a Princess.

And Pirate ship cupcakes for...well...Pirates.

The decor was pretty simple. Since the theme was "Princess and Pirates" we went with pink and black.

Thanks to CInderella and Belle, the party was a hit (for the girls anyway).
*Note..we tried getting a Pirate but he was unable to make it. Sorry boys. :(

Glitter tattoos and beaded necklaces.

And Skippy Jon Jones, read by Belle.

Cake time!

Cheesy Mommy and a giggly Tess.

I was so happy to have a friend at the party who is also a photographer. She snapped (and edited) the next couple of shots for me. Thanks so much Rebecca. Priceless.

All in all I'd say the party was a success.

I know my little Princess thought so anyway. Love you sweet pea.

Florida

So we just got back from a week long trip with both sets of parents and my brother, his wife, and their daughter (who also happens to be three weeks older than Tess.) Such memories! There are so many pics so I decided to skip the captions and sorry for the random order--just the way they uploaded. Regardless, pretty easy to see we had a great time.
