4 month update....

I went to the doctor for my four month appointment yesterday (even though I'm 4 and a half months now). I now weigh 15 pounds 13 ounces which puts me in the 80th percentile for weight. I am also 25 and a half inches long which puts me in the 79th percentile for height. No wonder I keep growing out of my clothes so fast! I am now rolling from my belly to my back all the time. I am still working on the other way around. I know it will be soon though because I have been trying very hard. I also grab my feet and play with them. I am now staying home with dad for part of the week and then mom the other part. (Daycare wasn't quite working out.) I was being difficult for dad and not taking a bottle. But he was very patient with me and now I love it. I also got to eat rice cereal for the very first time. It actually wasn't that bad. I'm not sure how much actually made it in my mouth but still....I tried.

New developments.....
I was officially four months on the twentieth of February (Mom's birthday). I am now up to 15 and a half pounds! I had been driving Mom and Dad crazy because I wasn't napping very much. I just wanted to be up all day--who could blame me? I guess they were on to me because they started letting me cry a little and now I am sleeping like a champ. I still wake up once a night to eat but wouldn't you if you went to bed between 6:30 and 7:00? My newest obstacle is my swaddle. I break out of it most of the time but then I can't seem to sleep. Mom has been putting me into a sleep sack but I don't know if I like it yet. I guess we'll see. Stay tuned....I hear I am about to try solids (rice cereal) for the first time. That should be interesting.

I'm now three and a half months old. Mom had to go back to work (half time) so I started going to daycare at a lady's house for two days a week. Mom had a hard time letting me go but I think it will be the best for both of us. So far I love it. Ruthie loves on me all day and there is a little girl named Ella who is only one month older than me that comes one of the days I am there. We talk to each other in our own secret langauge. It's great! I am also taking a music class with my friend Mason on Fridays. We listen and dance to music and play with different kinds of toys. Other than that, I am still growing and changing a little every day. Mom thinks she feels two of my bottom teeth already poking through. She can't believe it. She thinks I am trying to grow up too fast. I don' think I'm growing fast enough!

Growing big and strong...

I am now almost 3 months old and getting so big and strong! At my 2 month appointment I weighed 12 pounds 6 ounces and was 23.5 inches long (87th percentile for both!) Mom can't believe I'm her child. She's afraid I will out grow her by the time I'm in middle school! Who knows. All I know is that I'm having fun learning new things every day. I am getting so strong that I can sit and stand (if someone holds me up of course--I haven't quite mastered the whole balance thing yet.) Infact I love it so much that any time mom or dad comes around I push my head up to let them know I want to sit up. I'll be running laps around them in no time!

Some New Firsts...
Mommy and Daddy took me to Indiana for my first Christmas. It was my first plane ride and I did really well. The way back I was a little fussy but who wouldn't be in a cramped hot airplane? When we were in Indiana I was able to meet my new cousin Addison, my Uncle Craig and Aunt Jen, my Great Grandma Jean and Great Grandma Ann, and a bunch of my mommie's Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Everyone loved passing me around and smiling at me. I had a good time too (I loved all the attention)!

Changing every day....
Not only am I discovering my hands, but I am also grabbing and holding onto things. I also started smiling which seems to make my mom and dad really happy because they smile real big back at me.

Mom and dad swear that I change daily. They say I am starting to discover my hands (I even suck my thumb sometimes) and I am alert more during the day. These pictures obviously don't show that. I think I've been up to a lot...of sleeping! Check it out!

Latest happenings

I'm now three weeks old...can you believe it? Mom can't believe she'll have to go back to work in three more weeks.

I am learning new things every day. I am meeting some new friends, going for walks, working on tummy time, and getting to know mom and dad a little better each day. My life is pretty good!
